Give it a READ!
First published in 1942... True story... Takes place in the Western woods of Maine... The authors wit and wisdom is so apropos for our times... I first read this book when I was in my mid twenties. I so enjoyed it then because I was so familiar with the area that it takes place in. Having just read it again, in my mid seventies, I was moved closer to knowing what finding peace and joy is really all about. Do yourself a favor my forever Mainers and give it a read!
